Boneyard Air Affair

You asked for it and we delivered! The newest and coolest Boneyard is nearing completion and we felt that it was worth showing off! So come check out the Bike Park's newest slopestyle competition-the Boneyard Air Affair. And the winner gets one of the four remaining spots to the Kokanee Crankworx Slopestyle and VW Trick Showdown. If the 2008 European slopestyle competitions are an indication, some big tricks will be whipped out at this year's inaugural event. Be there!


The Dirt:

Cost: $40 (taxes included)

Categories: 13 - 15 yrs old 16-18 yrs old

Open Male Open Female Format: Amateur event (no inverts allowed). Best of 2 runs



Schedule:

Saturday

  • Mandatory check in between 8am - 10am
  • Mandatory competitor's meeting at 10:15am
  • Training starts at 10:30am* (course closed to public)
  • Training ends at 1:30pm

*Saturday will be the qualifying event as well as a training day. For safety reasons, registered participants who do not ride at an acceptable level according to the judges will be offered a refund within the first hour of the training (between 10:30am and 11:30am)*


Sunday

  • Training starts at 10am
  • Training ends at 11:30am
  • Mandatory competitor's meeting at 11:45am
  • Competition starts at 12pm  - format of 2 runs best score
  • Awards at 4pm -location to be announced at the competitor's meeting



Registration:

Registration can be done as of June 3rd through our Reservation Centre by calling 1.866.218.9690 or in person at our Guest Relation at the base of Whistler until Friday, June 13th 5pm.

Registration on the day of the event will be done at the registration table at the base of the Bike Park.  


Prizing:

The winner will receive one of 4 spots in the Kokanee Crankworx Slopestyle and VW Trick Showdown competitions. Other prizes will also be available from the Whistler Mountain Bike Park sponsors.
