Favorite mountain bike product from the early ninties or 80's? Anything that was purple anodized or the Hite right.
Favorite Current Trend in Mountain biking. I think individual style is really important not trends. So if your rockin your own style then that’s cool with me!
Least favorite Trend in mountain biking ever. Lazy freeride kids that expect everything for free and anything to do with the word or description “hucker”.
You're flying down a trail when you come to section with three options to clear a stream that is about fifteen feet wide. You can either:
1) Go straight at it, launch off a root at the edge of the stream which will get you to a small island in the middle of the stream where you could hit a small lip and clear the second half of the stream 2) Carve left and hit a hip to the tranny on the far side 3) Go right and ride a 12" wide ladder bridge that has a lip half way that sends you over a 3 foot gap to downhill ladder bridge tranny. (bridge 4ft above water)
All fast and flowy…but what do you choose and why? I have to pick the first option of hitting the root to the island double gap because that sounds like it’s the fastest with dirt and natural terrain involved. Over the years I have just learned to love natural terrain and the 3rd option sounds the hardest…
How long have you been riding? Around 13 years or so.
Favorite Nick Name you've been given? I don’t really like nick names but if your around the bike park you might be able to pick up a couple.
Dream Car? Aston Martin
Favorite Trail in Lower Whistler Bike Park? Joyride.
Ideal place for a dream vacation with your significant other given unlimited budget? Playing pirates in the Mediterranean and I mean real pirates with a real tall ship and everything. I would have it catered and I would definitely have a private pirate island.
G-Unit or Wu-Tang Clan? Wu-Tang
Megadeth or Linkin Park? Megadeth
Modest Mouse or Johnny Cash? Modest Mouse
Favorite off season training activity? Snowboarding if you can call that training.
More traction or less rolling resistance? More traction. If you want to go faster just let off your brakes…
Honest opinon of Road Riding? Road is a huge part of the industry so you have respect it… I just don’t have time to enjoy it.
Words of advice to the Groms? Also if your going to go any where in this industry you have to define your self as a rider and be able to self promote with out being cocky.
