State of the Trails

Hey riders, here is another countdown to opening report on the state of the trails. I have walked a few sections of trail and have started to come up with a plan for snow removal. With the return of the popular Crud to Mud race on the long weekend I am hoping to get a few things going. As usual we are going to get to work on A-Line, B-Line and Crank it Up , and will have a good look at Schelyer, Upper Joyride as well as Crack Addict and Devil’s Club. The warm rain and sun are helping to shrink the piles rapidly so hopefully the trail count for opening will continue to grow. As I tap out this update Jayro is out in a snow cat pushing out the snow on the Boneyard and all of the trails that cross open runs in the lower part of the park. The rest of the Trail Crew will be at it next week with hand tools and saws cleaning up the blowdown and drainage to get the riding surfaces as buffed as possible for you by the following weekend.

The Airdome has also had some repairs done to ramps that were showing their age and the new foam has been ordered. Everything should fall into place to get it open on the same weekend as the rest of the park, so plan a session in the fresh new foam as part of your opening weekend.

…More to come as we get closer to opening and I get more trails ready to ride. See you in few weeks!
