Three more sleeps

Three sleeps to go. Okay, for those of you checking in daily for updates, here is today’s progress report. The patrol are out marking all the runs we plan to open (16) and putting closures up on the ones that are not quite there.

The machine operators are split between moving snow off the remaining trails and building the finish berms on Heart of Darkness. Once those are in Marty will be rebuilding and buffing out the GLC Drop landings. Cowan is making crazy progress on the Boneyard and we will soon be adding some public slope-style features ourselves.

The zone above the official course will be getting some love with the QP and Spine being put in near the mulch pit jump with some new berms and landings. This will be in addition to the public friendly features Cowan is adding to the Bone Yard making the general admission Bone Yard the biggest it has ever been.

Having now done a lap or two in the name of product testing and quality control, I can say without a doubt that this will be the best opening of all time, especially given the weather forecast.

If you have not already planned your après for the day, the live music on the GLC deck and Metal band playing after another screening of Anthill’s “Follow Me” are sure to be a solid kick-off, besides what else is there to do- hockey season is OVER!
