Cue the Jim Morrison, "This is the end, beautiful friend, the end." The final weekend, the grand finally, stick a fork in the 2008 Bike Park season, it's done. Well it will be after the Thanksgiving weekend, until then the park is open for one last session and the weather is setting up to be perfect. The trail crew have been ramping down the Bone Yard on one hand and continuing to build on the other. It is likely unprecedented that we add new features to the park for the closing weekend but that is what we have done for you. The giant tunnel on Freight Train / No Joke is now complete and has four 32' quarter pipes, a hip jump and a wooden berm all ready to session for the weekend.
 
Thanksgiving (the Canadian one) is a cool time in Whistler. It signifies the transition from summer sports to winter ones (or at least shopping and dreaming about winter ones). This could be one of the best weekends to come to Whistler, you can ride the Bike Park for the last time of year and check out the Turkey Sale after to get set up with all the gear you need for snow at stellar prices. If you are shopping for a bike for 2009, you can also get crazy deals on this year's gear as everyone is blowing out their bikes at rock bottom deals.
